Philip Robson

Chairman

Prior to selling to Fiera Private Debt in July 2019, Philip was President of IAM's private debt group where he was responsible for the strategic direction and overall operation of the group and played a leadership role in managing relationships with the investors and headed the firm’s loan origination activities. He was Vice-Chair of the Investment Committee. Prior to IAM Philip had executive/ownership experience in plastic packaging and food processing operations he acquired with partners. His earlier experience was in corporate and investment banking. His tenure with IAM/Fiera commenced in 1996 when he joined a predecessor firm as head of origination.

Philip is a member of the Fiera Private Debt Board of Directors, and Chair of Fiera's Infrastructure Funds Investment Committee. He is Chair of Kilgour Williams (Canada's leading fintech enabled private credit funds) Independent Review Committee and also on the Advisory Board of Ambassatours, Atlantic Canada's largest tourism business, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and the Board of Scarboro Golf and Country Club.

Mr. Robson is currently Chair of Validus Risk Management and holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics (Honours) from the University of Toronto.
